I don't know of any companies that use iPod Touches for that, they all use cheap chinese knockoffs that barely work lmao. I worked many retail jobs as a young person and never once saw any brand name devices, much less Apple products. Didn't stop them from taking $500 out of your paycheck if you broke/misplaced one though, even though it likely cost them ~$150.

Nothing is changing over here short of violent revolution. Voting does nothing when both sides are in on the grift. But I appreciate your youthful optimism. If I could move to a socialist country I would do so in an instant.

The VAST majority of the western world capable of nuclear power is capitalistic and will not see a monetary benefit from nuclear fusion/fission on the consumer level. But congrats to those handful of Nordic countries with tiny populations that are lucky enough to have socialist programs for necessities I guess. But most of us aren't that lucky.

You really believe the power companies would pass those savings on to the consumers?

So they taught an AI to move data from RAM into storage over a couple hours, something any computer does in microseconds? How useless. Why do people seem intent on forcing human features onto AI with no benefit? Part of the allure of AI in the first place is that it doesn't need to sleep or eat like humans do.

Oh for sure, the guy I responded to was talking about companies using iPod Touches which I've never seen
