If that was the case, then every other state in the deep south would vote more democratic than us. Politically speaking our rural areas and suburbs are less uniformly conservative than elsewhere. Portland isn't any more liberal than your average liberal city.

Why did you just move the goalposts so hard?

First you complain that the government won't even sue to take 2% of the corporation's wealth.

Now suddenly bankruptcy (all the wealth) and multi-billion dollar fines aren't good enough, only criminal charges are.

So the first thing you said was dumb. Simple as.

The railroad is boned. They will be paying for this for a long time.

It takes a long time but you don't want to mess with the government when it has public outrage behind it. Just ask bankrupt Purdue Pharma.

Press X to doubt. According to the air testing results in your link, all the actually harmful chemicals (everything except oxygen) is down below the screening levels and most are already at zero.

So far as I can tell, we are talking about a few square kilometers of agricultural Ohio. Really can't think of anything in U.S. history that has caused more damage than that?

It's scientifically accurate-ish. The idea is that the dawn sun shines on the underside of the band of clouds about to dump rain and wind on you. While the setting sun demonstrates that approaching clouds are just a narrow band, not a major system. Ergo the weather will pass by in the night and tomorrow will be fine.
