It’s never been about safety it’s always been about profit. In 2020 the camera outside McCoy stadium made $376,000 in fines and schools were completely closed due to Covid.

EP/Pawtucket are the biggest grifters in this game and they outsource the billing to Massachusetts. Per City of Pawtucket nobody in Rhode Island wanted the billing work which I also believe is a lie.

Are you meeting other transplants though? I think the pandemic made the worst parts of Rhode Island even worse.

I can’t speak for other Rhode Islanders but between the pandemic and our most recent election it feel like the state just took a giant step backwards.

I like living close to the city but not in the city.

It’s becoming less and less accessible for automobiles and the public transit isn’t always reliable.

The city has changed significantly over the past decade. Some of it was good but some of it has been pretty meh.

I was an event planner at the time and knew all the vendors but they charged full market price.

The venue we used is well established in Massachusetts and has been in business at least 40 years. We booked during peak season for off peak prices.

We used the Flower exchange in Boston and built our own centerpieces, invitations, and seating chart (I do not recommend taking on these tasks unless you have an art background which we fortunately had).

I wonder if new leadership checks this sub? We just had a discussion about the liter around the state.

I can’t believe the state was actually taxing small businesses for a service that wasn’t getting completed.

They sell a bunch of squirrel feeders online that you can attach to trees and if you’re brave enough you’re house.

They rely so heavily on trees and humans for food so they are easy to befriend. I know a few people around the state who have domesticated squirrels and also skunks.

The state has the funds (the most we’ve ever had really) to address this issue.

I don’t typically see people throwing trash out windows (I’m sure some soft headed creatures do though) but I have seen frequent windstorms knock down trash barrels and send it flying Everywhere.

My former employer, one of the worst hit in the pandemic once told all employees in March 2020 that it would look bad if we wore masks because it would cause unnecessary fear amongst families and clients.

By October 2020 we lost 150 individuals and all of the people who made this “recommendation” have all since been fired.

It is illegal to tell employees not to wear masks, especially during flu outbreaks and/or a pandemic that some people pretend is over.

This is very unfortunate but I’m glad they were able to locate him.

I’m not sure what happened but please be vigilant when using the East Bay bike path day or night.

Though it is pretty modern it is poorly lit in certain sections and they’ve had a few notable fatal car accidents over the years and even unfortunately a few attacks in the more secluded sections.

If a landlord is willing to reimburse for the parking permit that isn’t off the books. It’s only $100 per year, but one less expense for the tenant.

The issue with the rentals in the city is that they never had enough parking spaces and for years this wasn’t an issue until the city was strapped and started ticketing people and requiring an overnight parking permit.
