Reply to Who is Malloy anyway? by cdrknives
He is a guy who lives in Maryland and is a defense contractor. He looked around to see if there were any states that would not have an incumbent Senator up for reelection in 2022 and moved there to run. He's a carpetbagging elitist who wants to use power to steer money to himself and his cronies.

If you look closely you'll even see that one or two of them are from Vermont.

The most annoying part is that they are essentially plastic bags that will be left all over the place once he loses. We'll be stuck will Malloy deployed all over the roadside and gutters in Vermont for years.

Look at the pedantic brain on Mechanicjohn12! Nice that you can be both right and wrong at the same time.

Reply to Alternatives to Xfinity Mobile? by [deleted]
I think the issue you're going to run into with all these alternate providers is that they lease bandwidth from Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint. They don't have their own infrastructure. That means you will almost certainly run into data caps no matter where you go. It's super frustrating and seems patently disingenuous to say unlimited data but then throttle you speed down to unusable after a certain point, but that's where we are in today's market.

To each their own. I find them overwrought and simply bad. I've had them in Middlebury, Essex Jct. and Montp. I've given them enough opportunity to make a good taco and they always fail. I'm with other posters on this thread, there's not much, if any, good Mexican food in VT. Certainly nothing like a good, fast, simple taqueria.

I have never understood how they got a reputation for good food. Their tacos are bad. I think they benefit from being one of the earlier taco places around.

Reply to Subaru “all weather tire” question. by BallLikeLucky
Fake hype. Good tires make the difference, not Subaru's AWD. Give me FWD with winter tires over AWD with all-weather, all day.

It was most likely Jupiter based on your description. Jupiter and Saturn are visible to the naked eye at night and, next to the moon, the brightest objects in the night sky.
