I am taking the word of this Pitt scientist:

>“The outdoor air is a little less problematic because vinyl chloride gets dispersed very quickly and broken down by the sunlight, within a few days, it’s a similar situation in the soil or open body of water. However, one of the things I always emphasize if it goes into the ground water and transported to homes and private wells, it is highly volatile, so it can suffuse into air within those closed spaces,” she said. “It comes out of the water, into the air and that’s really the major route of toxicity for the liver. It comes through the air.”

Are you talking about the river basin divide? Because what I am worried about is chemicals falling down as acide rain and sweeping into the water table...

Is this the Centralia fire? Because everyone is aware that it will continue to spread for another 250 years, give or take of course. The who seam is going to be burned and estimates is that there is enough coal to last 250 years. Keep in mind the fire actually started in the 1962, so it was burning for about 61 years, as of now.

You are right about the rumor churn so who knows?

> And to your last point, couldn't they be from anywhere... In the universe iirc?

Yeah, they can be from anywhere. It's not tied to race, religion, ethnicity, etc... but in the OG movie, MacLeod's (who is the main character that happened to be from the Scottland Highlands) rival/enemy was originally from Eastern Europe (present-day Russia to be more exact) and his mentor (played by Sean Connery) was supposedly Spanish.

I really don't know much about the Highlander remake although, I guess it can go to a lot of different actors. As long as they look like they are a struggling immortal that can hold their own during a swordfight I could believe it. Although, I don't know if they are going to make this version Scottish or something else. I guess it really doesn't matter (if you ignore the sequel and focus on the TV series) they can be from anywhere in the world.

They have to fight to the death, with swords, which only means that one will be decapitated and the other will absorb the former's powers into his own. Making the One more powerful as time goes on but they can't fight on hollow grounds so they fight in Indiana, PA.

Their vaccines (both Sinnophram and that other company) had, at best 50% effectiveness against the original strain of of COVID but not against the newer variants. But yes, they had a series of scandals of fake vaccines being given out in China and aboard because they were scammers. Yes, China had, in the past, major vaccines scandals that ended children up in hospital. Yes China and their legions of Wumaos (internet trolls. Some paid some were just hyper nationalists) went online with VPNs (which is illegal for the average person in China to have/use) spreading disinformation on Western vaccines, along with the Russian trolls (one of the biggest lies being, "Western vaccines won't work for Asian people" etc...) But the Chinese government had mandatory vaccinations, but with the weaker Chinese vaccines. Now that they just drop all Zero COVID policy it is spreading but it's not wrong for Western countries be cautious about this situation.
