Spend the day in Boston. It's a 5-hour round trip (most of which is on an interstate highway) just to get to the base of the Mount Washington auto road. It's fun, but I don't know what season you're coming in, and if you haven't seen Boston before, definitely spend the day in Boston.

Watertown was my go-to RMV for decades, but the appointment system has brought it down a bunch of notches. I made an appt to get something done at 2 in the afternoon a couple of months ago, and the line of people waiting for walk in transactions was a couple of dozen people long. Right as my time was called and I went in, the representative came out to let everyone in that line know there would be no walk in appointments.

I did it at Haymarket. It's a pretty simple procedure if you have all your paperwork in order (you have the title signed over, letter indicating the purchase price, etc.). The hardest part is getting an appointment. You can either spend a portion of your day hitting that refresh button for your RMV of choice, or get an instant appointment a couple of hours west..

turns out, most things are illegal if you ask about them, but if you've got a backyard and a burn bowl, its doubtful anyone will ever know.. Just don't do a google search for "Can I burn photos in the backyard" and "What is the punishment for burning photos and letters" and "can you recognize photos after they have been burned in a backyard" and you should be fine.

From what I've heard recently, Harvard is almost always taking new hires in at the bottom of the range. About 6 months ago I applied for a position and clearly stated that I desired a little more than the middle of the range. During the second round interview, I was asked about how much I expected and when I told them, they said "Oh, unfortunately, we're only paying (the exact minimum of the posted range)." I was pissed they wasted my time. Why ask salary expectations in the online application if nobody is going to look at it?

Lol. Real estate prices in Boston, Somerville, Cambridge, Medford, etc have nothing to do with the schools. Housing is expensive because people want to live in Boston, or at least with subway access to Boston.

Housing in Manhattan and San Francisco are also very expensive, but they're definitely not home to their State's best school systems...
