Preach.
Personally I think we should add some gold to represent our bread basket in the east, but I get how people would wanna stick with the more restricted color scheme for aesthetics
Edit: I guess the light blue is the skies if E WA, so ok.

No one here gives much of a shit about Washington’s family crest. We care that he shrugged off his British roots and founded a nation that eventually grew to encompass the beautiful land we now know.
We want a salmon or our big ass mountain that is 3 times the height of Ben Nevis on our flag.
Washington’s family crest would somehow be an even worse representation of what this great state means.

You’re going to have to pick or choose from your wishlist. WA’s cost of livings isn’t very far below CA’s now, at least where people want to live.
All rural areas are going to have a higher per capita rates of homophobics and racists unfortunately. All rural places are also more likely to have poverty issues that result in a lot of petty crime and drug use, compared to the suburbs.

Reply to King County Employees Fired Over Vaccine Mandate Should Be Priority For Re-Hire, Proposal Says by SPIRIT_SEEKER8
Fuck that. They should be welcome to reapply, but prior employment and subsequent termination for refusing to comply in a public health emergency should absolutely not give you priority

People in Seattle don’t own a lot of guns per capita, and those that do (that I know) usually have a favorite range/shop outside of the city they visit on a regular basis. Plus Seattle rent is stupid high, so it’s not really a huge money maker compared to moving to someplace an hour outside the city

Yeah there’s some stinging nettle but poison oak and poison ivy are definitely less common. I have worked outside landscaping a fair bit and only once or twice saw poison oak

That’s a dubiously sourced stat fyi, gold.com is not a reliable source.
The US Geologic Survey, a non biased 3rd party not trying to sell you something, puts the number closer to 10%
“Estimated global gold consumption was jewelry, 47%; physical bar, 21%; central banks and other institutions, 14%; official coins and medals and imitation coins, 10%; electrical and electronics, 7%; and other, 1%.”

Yeah generally Washingtonians don’t want to associate with anyone who hasn’t lived there for a decade. People are very friendly to other locals.

If you’re living in WA and are stuck indoors for 9 months than you’re doing something very wrong. Enjoy Florida
