This building is owned by BLT, who on the whole have a horrible reputation in Stamford. Many people who live in BLT properties report horrible management / maintenance issues / low quality construction etc. One of the BLT buildings had its foundation fail and the building was evacuated before it sunk into the ground... not good.

I can't speak for Escape specifically, but I would suggest you look downtown instead unless there is something which specially attracts you to Harbor Point.

Why not Stamford? A big part of Stamford's appeal is it's proximity to NYC as it has the best trains to the city of anywhere in CT. For me that's a big deal, but it depends how much you like all the stuff New York has to offer.

If I was going for somewhere more beautiful with less good access to NYC, I think Ridgefield is lovely.

Yes $2000+ for a 1 bed, $1600 will get you a studio (if you’re lucky). The further you go from downtown the rents will decrease a little but not by much.

A $2000 1-bed is quite rare in Stamford and, depending on your location preferences, hard to find. Obviously you'll have more luck as you go further from downtown.

Only option is to trawl Apartments.com, Zillow, Facebook Marketplace etc and be prepared to make a very quick decision as soon as something becomes available. I found my place on Apartments.com and put a deposit down 10 mins after seeing it. Good luck!
