I feel you. I do get why some of the people getting married might like that. Maybe it's their natural preference, maybe it's just what they imagined due to having it marketed to them since an early age, but everyone has their own desires. I even enjoy being at some those weddings if they were planned in ways that make them enjoyable for guests (i.e. not a fly-to destination wedding at the equator during the most humid season and with peak sun).

But mostly I think they're just a flex and kind of annoying.

Bruh I'm not even joking, I'd be so mad lmao. There were no fuck ups here, beyond planning to force guests through an expensive all day event and then feed them a rabbit sized meal. Idk about this though:

>She's completely out of her mind and I don't know how to stop her

OP needs to see the light because fiancée sure is not the one out of their mind.

Escalating verbal conflict to physical conflict is not a self defense mechanism. Crossing the room to kick his table and scratch him out of anger was not a mistake, it was a choice.

It does sound like OP gets this was a fuck up, and both were in the wrong, but the title is still incorrect and downplaying what happened in the comments is dumb.

Nah, this isn't it. OP appears to have care and love from her mother. The grandparents are overbearing, manipulative and abusing the system for control over the family.

Sure, maybe they care for her in their own twisted way, but OP absolutely does not need to erase how toxic they are just because other kids have been neglected or abandoned.

I'm not going to downvote you. I get it and absolutes aren't always helpful. But this seemed deliberate and selfish, not just a slip and dumb. We may feel or be the best person on the inside but we're still terrible when we do terrible things. What's that quote from Dark Knight? "It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you." Doesn't mean they can't learn from it and work to be a better person, but damn.

The idea of lost profits as justification for this behavior seems so dumb to me. They're not real! Just a projection of what might have been. It's like getting mad stock prices don't always go up, but things fluctuate according to everything else that takes place on this planet and that's a part of business.

Considering the vastly differing histories of the many people that "ME and Africa countries" incorporates, as well as "the West," you'll really have to narrow it down further for anything remotely accurate.

Regardless, imperialism is generally bad for anyone that isn't part of the country imposing imperialism. Both China and the US are imperialistic and both should be called out for their behavior when they hurt or take advantage of others.
