I love mine. I just got a pear of the driving loafers and they’re even better.

Thanks for posting in detail. If you don’t mind answering, how much did you pay per panel? Did you hire installers or install them yourself? My house is going to need a new roof in the next 5-10 years and while I don’t love the idea of leasing solar panels maybe I can start saving for something like you’re describing.

I can’t reach the roof of my Honda Civic lol, let alone an SUV. I do have a brush that reaches because I’m not a jerk.

That’s interesting, I didn’t think HOAs were common in this part of the state. $500/month seems like an awful lot. I feel like you could probably find something just as good in the area without having to pay that $500.

Reply to comment by tex8222 in I'm leaving New Jersey for one reason: The Litter by [deleted]
I live in a shore town and the litter is more of an issue here than anywhere I’ve ever lived before - people throw trash into my yard. I’ve never lived in a place in NJ as densely populated as my neighborhood though, and there was a lot less foot traffic where I’ve lived before, so that explains a lot. Definitely still sucks though!

I don’t like ketchup on mine but that looks solid! Interesting choice with the jalapeños, worth a try.

I loved that episode, and the Hanukkah one that came later. I just saw a Rugrats Hanukkah shirt at Target and it all came back to me!

I probably have 10 or 15 reusable bags. I consistently use 5 or 6 of them. I still being home plastic produce bags to use in my bathroom wastebaskets and stuff. I do think allowing paper bags has merits. I found myself bringing plastic shopping bags home with me from a recent trip out of state lol.

I’ve had decent luck with getting people to deliver FB Marketplace furniture purchases, sometimes for an extra $20 and sometimes for free! Definitely worth asking because I drive a Honda Civic and if someone has a truck or van and can get it loaded up, I can definitely help unload.

Reply to How is Newark Airport these days? by gonerlover
I’d say it all depends on which terminal you’re flying out of. Terminal C is just fine, even more so if you have pre-check or Clear. I’ve made it from the curb to the beginning of the post-security terminal in under 20 minutes almost every time in the last couple of years, and the only time in recent memory it exceeded that was no more than half an hour.

The Lidl in Eatontown is great (I think I saw that you were talking about the Neptune Shop Rite). The Aldi in Neptune isn’t my favorite (I prefer the one in West Long Branch) but it’s not bad and you can’t beat the sale prices.

You know, you’re probably right. I was in school in the area over 20 years ago and things were way different back then. Somerville has changed a lot.

I agree with you except I’d recommend Bridgewater or Raritan over Somerville only because the schools are better. Still close enough to Somerville to participate though.

Reply to Where to go for a long weekend from NJ? by stickybluerug
Western Massachusetts. I like the Pioneer Valley (Northampton, Amherst, Shelburne Falls, etc) but the Berkshires are nice too. Only about a 3.5 hour drive from central NJ, lots of good food, lots of breweries if that’s your jam. There’s decent hiking/outdoor activities and good antiquing. I also have to recommend The Book Mill in Montague (a used book store and cafe housed in an old grist mill).
