A candle is not providing heat to your house. Mine has been on once to make sure everything was working fine. Woodstove does the rest unless I'm away for a weekend.

Laura's bar and grill have always been solid for me. Not over cooked. Good sauce. Good heat

Layer up. LL bean packable over it. When snowboarding i wear a wind/ water jacket shell over them. I have a Filson mackinaw when it gets really cold. It's bad ass.

Reply to Cord Wood Recommendations by Nevvermind183
I'm willing to bet you are not finding actual seasoned wood this late in the year unless it's kiln dried. They will say seasoned if it was in log form then cut and split 1-2 months ago. Wood doesn't actually season until it's split. And should be stacked off the ground. You can always split a fresh piece and check with a moisture meter. 20% or less is what your looking for to have a good, clean, hot burn.

I used to have one under my firewood. Thing ate my garden and my neighbors. We took care of that. I generally see some every year looking to get the garden.
