Reply to Quebecoise/Montreal poutine in Boston? by goldeneye0
You’ve named the ones I know in Boston.
If you’re ever in Portland (which is a fun day/weekend trip I would recommend) Duck Fat makes some fantastic poutine among other things.

Try 30 minutes.
The COL still stands. The quality of home and school you get there compared to the same price around Boston is way better.

That was right after their disastrous divestiture of GE Capital. I’d be more concerned if like Sears announced they were moving here…

There’s plenty of nice suburbs around there though. I know a lot of people who make bank in Springfield/Hartford area, but live in nice suburbs like Longmeadow, Glastonbury, Avon, Simsbury, etc

They should make Saxe and Desir’s yards “designated gang shootout zones” to fit with neighborhood character

If you are a Boston resident there’s a few indoor public pools that are super cheap to join.

It’s not really close. A flatbread at a casual restaurant here is like $18 and probably about 30 CHF in Switzerland. There’s no tip, but it’s definitely more expensive. Their VAT is also 3% higher.
You definitely can find cheap street food, like pizza by the slice or diner, but anything sit down is more expensive

Groceries are on par or cheaper than here.
Yeah, eating out is expensive, but your waiter also makes enough money to own a home.
