Newsflash: countries have issues with other countries all the time. Now look into Iran and Saudi Arabia. Little bigger differences there.
All you’re doing is trying to defend the indefensible by trying to say “but look at all these other places that also do some less bad stuff!”
doesn’t change Saudi Arabia being deplorable. Guess when they got rid of slavery.

In Saudi Arabia, an absolute dictatorship, you can be beheaded for all sorts of things besides murdering someone else. And get your hand chopped off for even less!
Now these are the people you want in tech.

That was wholly on the neocon republicans who just wanted an excuse.
Iran is the House of Sauds arch nemesis, not Iraq. Maybe read up on the region.

In public eh? I am aware of the history of the guillotine.
But sad you have to go back as far as the 70s to try to deflect from what the house of Saud do in the current day.

Well no one electrocutes folks anymore. And only in a small number of mouth breather states do they still bother executing people. ( which in itself, is not a barbaric thing necessarily when dealing with people who are proven mass murderers etc etc )
But nice try saying “The US is just as bad as Saudi Arabia so stop criticizing them!”

That’s farmers. You realize who buys the food right? No one is thinking farmers are getting windfall profits ( and if they ever did, they deserve em to plow back into the leaner harvest years ). It’s the global food corps that’re the issue.

You seem intent on talking about their promoted political beliefs. I’m talking about their above background levels of criminality.
It’s just possible, a pro civil rights preacher can also do nefarious things, and grift their followers as they preach morality…
And you and I both know this extends well beyond the Catholic Church. They just had a habit of making child rape their main goal as an organization.
Maybe look into Hillsong when you have a chance.

Of course he’s against sexual abuse. Find me a pastor, a priest, that says otherwise. Until they’re found out. They’re in a profession literally about ethics and morality, yet statistics show they’re generally worse than the general population at horrific acts.
No amount of spin or anecdotes changes the fact organized religion is among the worst perpetrators of what they allegedly preach against.
It’s not my job to be a moralist, I, like all humans, have plenty of failings. The difference is I don’t tell people how they should live. I’m not that arrogant.

“But my guy was a good one who didn’t fiddle with kids!” Is a refutation. ( and also anecdotal compared to the well known statistics and abuses performed by the professionally religious )
The next time you call someone “unhinged” for disliking people who’s entire job being about morality, failing in criminal and horrific ways, actually learn how to respond.
Cos turns out, people are allowed to be angry at child rape by professional moralists, and all their other criminal activities.

So the moral of the story is, don’t get married until you’re a senior! ( saves on all those divorce fees and alimony payments too )
