We had to call a pest control service to get the birds out of ours, I'm not sure if it's something you want to DIY (birds can be pretty dirty).

As for prevention, they sell plastic cages for this purpose at pretty much any local hardware store as u/14KL pointed out. When we called out the service, they installed the cages as part of the removal.

Red LEDs do require less power. The forward voltage on a red LED is about 1.8V at 20mA. The forward voltage on a blue LED is about 3.6V. That's 36mW of power for red vs 72mW of power for blue.

Blue light has more energy than red light (higher frequency/shorter wavelength).

I think they generally favor red over blue for emergency systems, though, because red light has less effect on low-light vision. So if the power goes out, your red-lit emergency signs don't blind you in the dark.

Bioshock, as you mentioned, imagines a city governed by the principles of Objectivism, but also heavily features themes like free will.

Bioshock Infinite has themes of American jingoism, religious revival, and class struggle alongside quantum superposition and multiverse theory (the latter of which is core to the game's narrative and mechanics).

Detroit: Become Human explores concepts like free will, self-determination, and what it means to be alive/sentient.

You play support and let her lead.

We did that with Borderlands - my wife had never played any video game before, let alone an FPS. We turned aim sensitivity down for her and I spent most of the early part of the game keeping her alive.

She was so excited the first few times she leveled up before I did (you get a small amount of XP from reviving a downed player, so I would always level up first from reviving her so often).

By the end of the main campaign, she was playing with normal sensitivity settings. Your girlfriend isn't going to get better if you constantly rush to the end, reducing her chances to develop her skills.

Make sure you're reading your product descriptions closely.

Just a quick search at Home Depot says $18 for R13 15" x 32ft faced insulation. That's $18 for 40 square feet, or $0.45/square foot.

Same site says $634 for 10 bags of R13 15" x 93" unfaced insulation, but unless you read closely you won't notice that each bag is 11 pieces, not 1. So that's 106.56 sq ft per bag, 1065 square feet total per pallet, which gives $0.60/square foot.

It seems faced is still cheaper, but not 10x cheaper. Probably because the faced stuff is a regular stock item and the unfaced stuff has to be shipped in.
