Yeah the sad part is it’s the city with the second lowest rate of car ownership and still an awful place to be a pedestrian/not in a car.
sutisuc t1_j84vxsq wrote
As bad as JC is it’s 100 times worse in Newark. NJ in general is embarrassing for how badly drivers ignore pedestrians in crosswalks. Meanwhile I was in California for a few months and if I even looked towards a crosswalk as a pedestrian drivers would come to a complete stop and wait for me to cross. Kind of pathetic seeing as NJ is much more urbanized and dense than California

Yup, especially the state. The majority of the homeless population in this state is in Newark and the state is happy to keep them out of sight, out of mind.

Nothing. Trees are a net positive. Unfortunately Newark city government and too many newarkers don’t recognize their utility

Unless I’m mixing you up with someone else I’ve seen you defend NYCHA and ACS. Two of the absolute rock bottom public agencies in the city. They’d be in same category of inept as the MTA for me.

For real it’s like a dead Midwest city, not the largest city in the most densely populated state in the country 10 miles west of Manhattan. Baffling honestly

The lack of basic knowledge most people have about NYC is alarming honestly. So many people don’t realize each borough has its own DA.

People lose their minds with krasner in Philly too but he got re-elected in a landslide despite Philly having much worse violent crime than NYC. It is funny seeing people make Bragg out to be like krasner though. He’s not even close to as radical as krasner
