Exactly—that miserable fuck. And I look at dumbass Boris, waiving from the podium again, thinking, “How’s he still a Party leader??”

And they used messaging that said, bafflingly, the NHS would be “better funded” somehow—as well as universities. Exactly the opposite happened, and all the EU-funded departments and chairs at universities across the country found themselves drowning, leading to a huge brain drain as they ran for the exits. I still know people whose careers in higher education haven’t righted themselves.

Had Hunters a long time ago. They didn’t wear well, eventually splitting, and whenever I wore them, i couldn’t wait to get them off my feet.

Le Chameau were familiar to me. A friend had them for mucking, and i was impressed by the solid knobby tread on the bottom in a couple of pair I found. I find the material softer and build more accommodating for my feet. I can wear a heavy sock—or not, and they feel warm. I can walk in them some distance without issue.

Cost-wise they’re comparable, but I simply think they’re better built than Hunters. Mine are a kind of perfect brownish green and look as good with a Barbour as they do other outerwear.

I have always simply used a good-quality Miele vacuum to vacuum my mattresses. Even if the mattress is fitted with a cover, that, too has to be washed and vacuumed.

Side sleeper here! I have a latex and wool mattress that I would consider BIFL 1.5 years ago. I use medium-to-firm wool-filled pillows, a 2” wool topper and linen sheets, and sleep better than I ever have! I bought the Naturally Organic Gramercy from The Clean Bedroom, who happen to have a good sale going on now.
