Errrr... what? Deferred interest loan regulations haven't changed at all for consumer credit under Obama, trump, or Biden, and have long been a cornerstone of providers who issue credit on their own books.

Yeah, this is absolutely incorrect.
In literally every state you can collect damages in excess of the security deposit. Some have rules about how you do the collecting, but the security deposit is not a ceiling on damages that may be collected.

What was the bill, how much were you charged, and do you have a menu or something similar thst you can point to to indicate how massive the overcharging was?

Can never tell why people don't list what the car in question is. Make/model/year/mileage. It could be a notoriously bad vehicle, or it could be something that was a Friday build on the assembly line.

If your employer shorted you you'd definitely bring it up.
Be honest. I can't emphasize enough how much personal integrity matters in business. And while "all business / capitalism bad" is a mantra that seems to be gaining traction, the reality is that if you do little things like chisel money on reimbursements or don't bring payroll errors up or otherwise do things like that, I now have to question what you'll do if given a bigger opportunity at graft (like stealing IP, or from a customer).
