One of the unsung absolute gems of Philadelphia that people almost never talk about on this sub is the Philadelphia Orchestra.

I think every Philadelphia should be going to the Orchestra as much as they can. Even if you aren't a fan of classical or baroque music being in Verizon Hall to hear the orchestra is an absolutely amazing and surprisingly visceral experience. It's really unlikely that in your whole life you will ever be in a room as acoustically perfect as Verizon Hall.

Recommend Gil Shaham playing Brahm's Violin Concerto in February.

In 2014, Leicester City won the Championship, was promoted to the Premier League and finished 14th. The following season Leicester City, won the Premier League.

Honestly, I think that was significantly, significantly less likely to happen than the US winning this world cup.

I mean literally, right now the US on biased US betting sites are 80/1, when Leicester City won the Premier League they were like 10,000/1 and it should have really been like 50,000/1. Really fucking unlikely shit happens sometimes.

What I'm telling you is that this is changing the city by picking winners and losers and you are saying you don't care about the losers and you don't even care if you're a loser and I don't think that you're being honest, but I hope you have a great Thanksgiving.

Yea but that's not what I asked, I asked, How would you feel about it? What you are giving is the justification you are making in your head when what I want is for you to have empathy for stakeholders.

You say this,

>... I would be in favor of the parking permit price going up by at least 20 times.

What if they raised the price of a parking permit so you couldn't afford it, but some of your neighbors could and then you have to sell your car and your wife has to commute via bicycle or bus and she feels unsafe, how does that make you feel?

It's like you have people here, paying taxes, they've been here and they've been incentivized to live like they're living with two cars or three cars or whatever. There's a social contract here and what you want is to break that social contract.

Ok if we make it really hard for you to park and you have to decide between spending time every night looking for a space in a really competitive environment or your wife feeling unsafe commuting via bicycle, how would you feel about being pushed into that choice?

A 5 month old puppy you may well be able to do that in an afternoon and certainly in a few days. Puppies at that age are extremely impressionable. Absolutely should not be avoiding something now that he won't be able to avoid for his whole life.

OP should be on his stoop with that dog right now watching cars go by and giving him treats.

Good vibes here in South Philly too. Lots of kids out tricker treating with parents in costumes, older kids running around with just themselves just having some fun, south Philly bros waiting for a Phillies game that will never start now ready to go home and watch a scary movie with the wifey and me walking my dog and taking it all in, love to see it.
