Assuming it's relatively reflective and good lighting, it should be visible at least all of north america. Probably northern south america, eastern asia. A bit under half the world would be able to see it.

A good stud finder might work. Alternatively, drill a hole somewhere in the middle of where you want it in the grout between the bricks and then you can stick a hanger or wire or something through and feel around, get an idea what's behind there.
Or buy one of those $10 endoscopes off aliexpress that people totally do NOT mostly just shove up their own butts and stick it in the hole to look.

I don't know if I'd put it actually in the sun, but outside somewhere warm with the door open should work reasonably quickly. Assume all the other contents will be in a chillybin with ice so you can wait a day.
Faster ways, but nothing as easy. Might go out occasionally with a plastic scraper and see if you can chip some of the ice off the walls. You can sometimes pry it off the wall in big chunks.

What? Like...does a gps satellite have bits of debris orbiting around it? Is suppose potentially, but I suspect the force of gravity from the satellite means there is a very tiny velocity range for an orbit given the other effects on any debris.

I've had reasonable success heating up an xacto knife blade and then carefully cutting with that. Basically same idea as a hot wire cutter.
