I pasted your comment into a couple of image generating AIs. They didn’t quite grab onto what I think you were getting at with eating in typewriter-style rows, but they otherwise did a decent enough job of interpreting your comment.
Here are 20 different images to look at.
Enjoy!

Reply to comment by SwansonHOPS in Conscious Reality Is Only a Memory of Unconscious Actions, Scientists Propose In Radical New Theory by mossadnik
“At some point in our ancestral past, memory developed because it helped solve problems related to survival and ultimately, reproduction. An organism with the capacity to remember the location of food, or categories of potential predators, was more likely to survive than an organism lacking this capacity.”

Edit: would love to pick authors’ brains on their thesis vis-à-vis implicit memories of classical conditioning. I don’t have a specific question, but I bet I could prompt them to say some cool stuff!

Reply to Conscious Reality Is Only a Memory of Unconscious Actions, Scientists Propose In Radical New Theory by mossadnik
TL;DR
“Our theory of consciousness rejects the idea that consciousness initially evolved in order to allow us to make sense of the world and act accordingly, and then, at some later point, episodic memory developed to store such conscious representations,” Budson and his colleagues said in the study. “Our theory is that consciousness developed with the evolution of episodic memory simply—and powerfully—to enable the phenomena of remembering.”

Reply to comment by hyenacry in IBD Patients Report Fewer ER Visits with Medical Cannabis by BoundariesAreFun
I don’t question it even one bit.
I also don’t question that marijuana can take peoples minds off of what ails them sometimes.
ER visits is a metric. I don’t know what metric I would like more but I still don’t love it.

In addition to evidence presented by compelling studies I’ve seen firsthand that medical marijuana helps those suffering from several different ailments, but when I see that it is responsible for “fewer ER visits“ I also have to wonder…
Too stoned to get to the ER?
Too stoned to care about symptoms?
Etc.
I mean, it’s a metric, I just wonder if there’s not a better metric.
