I assume that wells fargo et al provide the banking services for free and give interest.
If New York builds its own bank will it also be free?

because its xenophobic and racist. It is legal to request for Asylum. Asylum Seekers deserve help too. Besides im sure you were cheering along with everyone else when we declared we were a sanctuary city. Why back out now when its a little bit tough?

Theres actually a simple solution to this but the libs will go insane :P
"The US is a racist country with an epedemic of gun violence. All of these liberal groups say so. Therefore we cannot consider the US a safe country for asylum. All claims denied"
Checkmate :P

What I dont understand is why these figures are even being given at all. Im not going to study the numbers and everything in depth so ill just assume that somehow someway 1 billion = 42,000 asylum seekers.
What makes people think it will stop at 42,000? You literally have hundreds of thousands more at the border waiting to apply for asylum.
If you budget based on your needs now then of course your going to run out of money.

What I dont understand though is the city has clearly shown that it can afford to house people in 3 star hotels and that given the right incentive or people they will do so. If they can do it for asylum seeker families why not for homeless?

Reply to NYC promises telehealth for all high school students struggling with mental health by greenhousecrtv
I'm probably going to say something politically incorrect here but sometimes I feel we classify too many things as mental health issues and then use that as an excuse as to why we fail. I feel like if we pulled this shit in china Japan or Korea you would just be laughed out of a job. Not that there's never any mental health issues it just seems like everything including laziness is a mental health issue nowadays.
Like even in the us some of the things we call a mental health issue now would just get you a butt whooping from your dad a generation ago.

My main peeve is people treat an announcement like an actual accomplishment. Do what you say first then you get your props after the project is done

Ive been told by study after study that migrants are a net positive to the economy. No distinction was made between income level or any other factors so I can only assume the economists who did it did not think they were relevant. Therefore NYC should be happy to take all the migrants as they are a net positive to the economy.

that sounds like a recipe for bankruptcy. I mean thats precisely what we wanted to avoid with the subprime mortgage crash right? Are we ok with doing that now again?
