There are actually roman arenas that are still in use. The Nimes and Pula arena both host music shows. You even have live dvds by Metallica and Rammstein from the Nimes arena. Its pretty awesome.

How so? Quest has been discontinued since 2020. Why would they be shooting themselves in the foot by not producing updates for a product they havent been selling for over 4 years at that point?

I disagree. The vr tech we have now is completely servicable for the vast majority of people. The issue right now is the lack of good software for it. After Meta bought everyone out and focused on standalone, all the games basicly went to shit. I love vr, but I dont recommend it to my friends at all, because outside a few games that are a couple of years old, there is nothing worthwhile to play.

Afaik the only difference between copying and moving a file is deleting the "original" afterwards.

Depends on how you look at it. If you copy a file from one computer to another without altering it, is it still the same file? If you move your conciousness in the same way, why wouldnt it be the "same" just like the file is.

Pretty much every industry that deals with colour uses Pantone. My wife works in clothing design and manufacturing, and they use Pantone. Industrial design uses Pantone.

Reply to comment by maartenvanheek in ELI5: How is that Pantone colors don't have direct RGB counterparts? by ExternalUserError
A lot of pantone colors are actually a mix of more basic pantone inks. For example Pantone 7416 U can be created by mixing 16,70% Pantone Yellow, 16,70% Pantone Rubine red and 66,60% Pantone Transparent white.
You still need to carry a lot more inks than just the standard CMYK, but its somewhat manageable. For large runs you just buy the pre mixed inks, but for smaller jobs you can mix them yourself.

Sure, but you will get very very little light from them. Basicly useless outside using them for decorations.

Sure, but we already do that. Its called wood.
What im trying to say is, its not realistic at all.

Man, I couldnt get trough the first book. I was looking for a good complex fantasy series after finishing WoT, and Malazan seemed perfect. But man does that first book drag on. I was like 100 pages from the end and I still had zero idea what the hell was happening, who the characters were, what the races were, how the magic works, nothing.
Does it get better after the first book? Ive heard that it does, but honestly id have to re-read the first book again, and unless there is a huge payoff or increase in quality, im not gonna bother.

That bothered me as well. Like, why not include it? Also the timeline was shitty as well, it just jumped from one event to the next instead of giving you some sort of progression and feel when things are going to happen.

You dont need to keep the urn at home? We just bury it like you would a coffin, except the hole needs to be much smaller. Or you can scatter the ashes in a cool location or whatever.

Like, the urn is placed in a coffin?
This whole thing with coffins and embalming the dead is so weird to me. I come from a place where the vast majority of people get cremated, and its really unusual to even see a coffin at all. I only saw it once, and never an open one, since I dont even think you can legaly embalm the body.

I dont think thats quite true. Back in the day the top tier hardware was cheaper, but it also became obsolete much faster. 2-3 years and you were barely trudging along. Nowdays you can have a 10 year old pc that can still run pretty much anything with decent fps if you dont max all the settings out.

That's quite a bold statement. Especially isnce scrapping SLS would have freed up a lot of resources to design and build something, you know, better.
