I love Providence. I’m a transplant from MA and prefer life here. I don’t think this sub represents the city very well at all, to be honest. The people I meet throughout the city are very friendly and welcoming, and this sub is definitely not that.

I’ve submitted a few requests and had them responded to within 24 hours personally. I think it’s very much worth trying. OP doesn’t indicate who they “complained” to either, so my guess is they’re complaining to the wrong person or department.

It’s really such a great hidden gem. I started going when I first started driving and could travel to the city (I’m 34 now). Haven’t been in years though, wish they had vegan crepes!

Pianta and Basil & Bunny apparently do brunch on the weekend but I haven’t checked them out myself. Apothica Cafe in Cumberland is incredible. Crazy Burger is definitely an OG vegan breakfast spot too. If you’re willing to head to MA, Sweet Rose Cafe in Fall River is great too. And if you want something quick, Coffee Connection has great vegan options.

I think this tower is not the answer to the housing crisis in Providence and I think it’s naive to believe it is. Luxury development is not the solution in any of the links you provided. We don’t need this, we need our tax dollars to be invested in making more affordable housing, not to support the desire for a private developer to gain more wealth and power.

Providence could use the tax dollars being allocated for this for so much more, like actually building affordable housing. We need to stop allowing luxury developers to change the entire fabric of our cities because of their own personal desire for growth and power.

I would check Zillow, Apartments.com and Craigslist. A lot of them have the same listings. I found my apartment listing on Zillow and my apartment was rented through Samson Realty. They list the properties they’re renting in the city and elsewhere on their site.

That is LITERALLY what happened to me! Huge line, saw people walking away and assumed we were gonna get an egg roll or something, 20+ minutes I get to the table and they were waiting for me to place an order. I had to ask where the samples were, and I definitely wasn’t buying anything. Other places had awesome offerings, so it was just so strange.

I recently went to Dr. Armound Mahmoudi at Advanced Dental Care in Providence and I highly recommend it. I went for a wisdom teeth consult, and was seriously impressed with how thorough they were. It’s a small clinic and the staff is really friendly. I went to the same dentist for my whole life (I’m 34) and I left feeling like I found my new dentist. They had decent availability too.

Also, can I just add, they were serving tiny squares of underbaked cornbread at Veg Fest this summer. People literally pay for tickets to go around and eat samples, yet all of the actual food they brought was for sale at their normal menu prices.

I ordered from them when they were a start up as well. I forget the exact price, but I got the Italian sub which I think was $12-14 and it genuinely was mostly bread, and a small sub roll at that. I ordered one meal for delivery once since they opened their brick & mortar, their Southern Chikn and Cornbread, and it literally cost over $50 including the delivery fees and tip. I want to love it, but it’s just wildly inaccessible and makes vegan food seem really pretentious, which I think can give non-vegans the wrong impression and deter them from trying it.
