Reply to Mayor Adams launches newsletter to counteract ‘distorted’ NYC press coverage by kinetic_hermetic
>In light of the Monday missive, some of Adams’ critics drew parallels between the mayor and former President Donald Trump, who’s infamous for referring to the media as the “enemy of the people” and accusing reporters of spreading “fake news.”
Immediately about Trump when I saw this headline.

Reply to New York City Will Hospitalize More Mentally Ill People Involuntarily-- feelings on this.. by jojobean018
We can and should correct the housing crisis but I don't think it's a prerequisite to dealing with mental health issues. Why should we wait for a dangerous act to occur before preventing someone from hurting others and themselves?

They are nice to walk through because they're so secluded, but it would be nice to play a game or have a picnic there. Maybe you can but I'd feel weird about it.

It would be nice if the cemeteries could be repurposed into parks. They’re quite large, there aren’t many parks near them and not that many people use them.
I say this as someone with four ancestors who are currently occupants. I don’t think they will mind and neither will I.

Right, jail should be used to protect the rest of society from potentially dangerous individuals while they wait for trial.
It should not be used as a means of punishing people before they are convicted of a crime.

They haven't been convicted and are not criminals.

Odd to lump all minorities and recent immigrants together and make sweeping generalizations about them. They constitute the majority of residents and they're obviously quite heterogenous.

They pay a shitload in parking tickets: https://knowledgestew.com/parking-tickets-fedex-ups/
Why you would assume they get to park illegally for free?
