If you haven’t been to Harpers Ferry WV it’s a real neat tiny town. Not as far away as WV sounds. The Appalachian Trail literally goes through town.

It’s an organization. Check out the website - I was thinking of their newsletter though (I’m a member) and that lists loads of group hikes run by member clubs but I’m not seeing those listed on the website

I know people who would drive to the Lyons station for a better / smoother ride. Depending on where in town you are that could work. There used to be a bus that left from there too. Check on that if the station isn’t too far from you. The RVL is for the birds.
