Criminalizing self harm has always been wrong.

I get self harm extends outward when it gets big enough and then it’s a social concern.

So only criminalize to an extra extent the laws people do break when they’re messed up (and not every even very messed up person does horrible things while messed up - I don’t mean in the it hurts other peoples feelings that someone is messed up way and that does matter too for family and friends but is not criminal; I mean in the drunk driving/murder/child abuse thing)

It’s so not normal for a parent to bathe their adolescent kid.

I had a relative try it and I (a very compliant non confrontational “good” girl) flipped my shit until they backed off. Nope nope and more nope.

I get why you have boundary issues and you didn’t understand you were violating something big. Look at how your family works.

Fwiw if I got nudes randomly from someone I cared about who got scammed I wouldn’t say anything and wouldn’t judge them and would be mad at the scammer for also invading my privacy and would just put it in the vault and not think about it much beyond “oh that sux don’t give them money for your nudes.”

Ten years ago this was truly life ruining and for some people it still can be (teachers). But it happens more and more now so most people are over the shock value.

This scam is particularly odious and to my mind not too far away from committing multiple sexual assaults (you and everyone they hit with your pictures unsolicited)
