Reply to Alamo Drafthouse Bryant St by GrossePointeJayhawk
I've been about 30 times since it's opened, and have had problems with my order about 2/3rds of the time. To be fair, they are generally pretty minor (forgetting my soda type things) although one time they somehow billed me for everything on multiple people's checks, and I had to stay 30 minutes after the movie to get it sorted out, with no kind of compensation from them. It says something about the Gallery Place Regal (RIP) that Alamo is still one of the best options in the city.
Looking forward to trying the Crystal City one once the yellow line is back up.

Reply to Does this subreddit represent the true sentiment DC residents have for their city? by 42beastmode
I think that the nature of DC leads the sub to be populated by a larger than normal percentage of 1) conservatives who want to dunk on "the swamp" and 2) government workers/contractors who would rather not live in the DMV but have to because this is the only place they can work in their current job.
Most people I know who live here like it, but that's also obviously a biased group.
