I know some folks who had worked there and I think it was less that $20/hr for an assembler before the pandemic. I remember them saying it was pretty strict since it's a government contractor and there was an incentivized policy of ratting out co-workers who were violating safety rules. I did some HVAC work there and they were super strict about OSHA, color coded aisles, anti-static jackets, etc. The on-site cafeteria was pretty good though.

No one from out of state is going to read your post and take your advice. Should out of staters drive less aggressively? Probably. Should Vermonters drive more aggressively? Definitely. Personally, as a 5th generation VTer, I like driving around and messing with the more aggressive folks. Just play their game by cutting them off, boxing them in, and drive the speed limit in front of them.

Yup I'm over it. I've lived here my entire life and have had 50+ vehicles, and like you, I have only had 2 or 3 pass on the first shot. It's always something like a foggy headlight lens or a crack in a tail light. I also do all of my own work unless I don't have a very specific tool and there's no way around it. I currently have 3 vehicles that are past inspection and they'll stay that way. It really is just a money grab at this point.

Not much for EV options due to availability right now. I think Subaru is coming out with an all electric one next year but your options are kind of limited to some expensive Audi/VW models that are SUV types. I'm not endorsing Ford but the Lighting seems nice at a better price than other EVs available. Plus you can use it as a generator for your house, tools, etc.
