Aren't you a random internet stranger giving advice about always keeping your dog leashed in a public/wildlife areas and registering your dog with towns? Yeah don't walk your dog down a public street unleashed but there are trails that allow for off leash dogs. It'll say it right at the beginning near that big map that trails have. If people don't want advice from random internet strangers then don't ask the question.

Certain hiking trails require leash and some don't. If your dog is good off leash and you keep them close then take advantage of the off leash trails. Mine stay on the trail, are well trained, and get leashed when coming up to another dog. Most towns in Chittenden County have a dog park. A lot of breweries (in warm weather) allow dogs.

Valentine's Day 2007 always comes to mind. I can't remember exactly how much snow but maybe 3' in 24 hours? I couldn't get to my apartment in Burlington, so I parked in the parking garage at Gutterson for a few days and stayed with friends on campus. We ended up sledding down Main St., jumping off roofs into snow piles, and bombing around empty streets in my Subaru.

I think it's hit or miss. I've been lucky to get into my primary when I need to and get quick appointments when I'm referred to specialists. I have not had to deal with UVM's neurology dept though. I would suspect they are understaffed since it's a demanding field.

I used to snowshoe here but I thought it was a little boring. That said, you can get used snowshoes at Outdoor Gear Exchange for a decent price. Check Craigslist or Facebook for better deals or maybe some estate sales. I used to go on golf courses that allowed it (BCC, Williston, Rocky Ridge, etc.). Now I just cross country ski those places.

My SIL lived in one of the original buildings but someone was in there before her. They didn't do a great job with finish work or repainting walls but there was no mold or noise issues. There were some issues with heating but it was one of the older units. I've been in one recently that's newer and it seemed well put together. Regular scuffs, wear/tear in the hallways and lobby but that's any apartment building I guess. Williston is definitely working towards their own little world in Tafts Corners for better or worse.

I think Balint did her time, moved up the ladder, and was already known. Did the outside money and marketing help? Definitely. But I think she would have taken it anyway.

Molly jumped into LTG since she was the lesser of two evils when she ran against Milne. She has zero tangible accomplishments and took a free tour around the state campaigning in her first year. I think most people saw through that BS.

I mean there are tons and tons of hiking areas that are available to the public. They are typically land trusts meant for that purpose and are well marked since the all typically run up against posted property. The state also has plenty of state parks with camping and hiking access.
