I have no idea how old these things are but I got them at a good price. They were initially missing some parts and whatnot. Apparently Koss is serious about lifetime warranties as they totally refurbed it for cost of shipping.

All I had to do otherwise was get an adapter for the headphone jack as it has the older larger plug and get some third party ear cushions because otherwise it's a bit of a pain

A lot of them seem to be built into basements and garages. I got this one from the garage, previous owner left it.

I have an older one I took from my grandparent's house after it was sold, I didn't see why it needed to be given to somebody else

From what I understand the modern version is just lower quality

Also the grinders inside do dull after a while, I was able to sort of sharpen them up a bit again with a kind of file as I wasn't able to find replacements. It seemed to work just fine and it sharpens pencils well

Still sharpens pencils beautifully. I put it as vintage because I've read that the successive X-Acto version isn't as good.

The clamp is vintage too, I found that on etsy a while ago

I have no idea how old it is, but it's been in the family for a very long time and now its mine.

I cleaned it up and oiled the chain a little and attached a phone holder on it so I can pedal while watching movies
